David Howell in Lead, Daly Withdraws

David Howell, current number one on the European Ryder Cup roster, is in the lead at this week's BMW International in Munich, Germany. The BMW International marks the final week for the European's Ryder Cup qualifying schedule with several players till lobbying for spots. Howell's -5 67 was nearly matched by Lee Westwood who carded a 68 and is trying to qualify for this year's Ryder Cup team. International favorite Long John Daly withdrew from this week's even in Germany. Following the event, Ruropean captain Ian Woosnam will name the final roster by choosing his two wildcard picks. The Deutsche Bank Championship begins tomorrow as the Tour's only scheduled Monday finisher. Tiger looks to win his fifth straight tournament in his last five starts.
