TIger Woods Loses to Harrington at Dunlop Phoenix in a Play-off Hole
Tiger Woods seemed unbeatable for most of today at the Phoenix Country Club in Miyazaki, Japan. With six shots left, he had a three stroke lead. By the 16th hole, the lead dropped to two and Woods bogied the shot. Padraig Harrington took advantage of the opportunity, birdied on the 16th and by the 18th both were tied at the top of the leaderboard.
They played the 18th again. Harrington got a break on his second shot. It hit a tree and bounced forward for an ideal shot from the rough. Woods had a chance for a birdie from ten feet, but didn't make it.
Woods is now 45-6 worlwide when leading into the final round.
