After that victory, Curtis's game dropped off, not finding another win until this year during the Booz Allen Classic, a 7 stroke victory found on a rain delayed Tuesday finish. Curtis's 3rd victory will cement him as the reigning champion for the rest of eternity in two events, the Booz Allen and the 84 LUMBER Classic. Charles Howell III was not able to find any scoring opportunities, shooting an even par 72 to take second place. Howell III has not been in contention very often, so staying close to the lead is probably a good sign of improvement for Howell. Ted Purdy, who was near the top of the leaderboard during the first day, shot a 5 under par 67 to get to third.
