Goosen Pulls By to Take Lead at HSBC Champions


Reteif Goosen pulled to the head of the leaderboard after shooting a 69 on the most difficult day of play at The HSBC Champions in Shanghai.

The best round of the day was by South Korea's Yang Eun-Yan who managed a 67 which put him in sole ownership of second place.

Jyoti Randhawa who was both the day one and day two leader shot a par 72 and dropped to third place.

Tiger Woods had a rough day opening with a bogey on the first hole. He finished today's round with a bogey on 17 and a double-bogey on 18. He now sits five strokes behind the leader.

Play was difficult with windy conditions. 37 players had scores of at least 75. Michael Campbell, who had started the day, tied for third, had ten bogeys. He finished the day with a 77 and fell to 19th place.
