Twitter Daly Gets First Exemption of '07
John Daly, winner of two major championships, was given a sponsor's exemption into the FBR Open. Because the struggling John Daly lost his PGA TOUR playing priveleges in 2006, he will have a maximum of five sponsor's exemptions to earn his way back. Daly's journey back to playing full time on the big show will be slightly easier than some of his journeyman peers as his crowd-pleasing game and personality will assure him five exemptions.
The FBR Open, a West Coast Swing event in Phoenix, Arizona, will take place on January 29th through February 4th. A fellow long-ball hitter, J.B. Holmes, captured his first TOUR victory during his rookie season at the FBR.
