American Jim Furyk soundly defeated his competitors today at Sun City's Nedbank Golf Challenge. For the first time in the tournament, he did have a bogey on the third hole. However, he was in the lead by five strokes so the effect of the shot was minimal. He was the event's defending champion and picked up $1.2 million today.

Stenson, day one's leader, had the best day on the course, shooting a 69 and came within three strokes of the leader.
