Sweden and Argentina Lead Heading into Final Round of World Cup
The race to win the 2006 World Cup has become tight after day three. Argentina appeared to be the front away winner. However, strong performances on the back nine yesterday changed the leaderboard at Sandy Lane Golf Resort.
Sweden enters the final round with a one stroke lead over Argentina. Scotland is only one stroke back. Seven teams are tied for fourth place, including the United States who made seven consecutive birdies on the final nine on day three. Stewart Cink had five of the seven birdies.
The winning team today will split the first place prize of $1.4 million.
