Fred Funk cruises to victory at Turtle Bay Championship

Fred Funk shot his second straight 8-under-64 to win by an incredible 11 strokes at the Turtle Bay Championship.

Given that he had six birdies on the front nine, there was no doubt that he would end the day victorious. He earned $240,000 for his second Champions Tour victory (in only five starts).

Five players, including Tom Kite, tied for second place.

Funk, who turned 50 last July, is considered the man to beat on the tour. Funk admits that that title is strange for him as he has never been considered the top contender in a world dominated by Tiger Woods. He now heads back to the PGA Tour.
