Sure, golf courses have become much, much longer in the last couple of years as a result of huge distance gains. However, a golf course in Oregon may have found a new way to avoid low scoring: fire.

At Centennial Golf Course in Oregon, fire took over the area between the sixth and seventh holes. However, many golfers continued to play despite seeing the smoke coming from the fire in the weedy area.

Jim Pawlak, a golfer from California, said, "I was really playing well before this happened."
