Twitter Woods Reveals Wife was Hospitalized During US Open
At a press conference today for his own inaugural golf event, AT & T National at Congressional Country Club, Tiger Woods revealed that his wife was hospitalized on the first offical day of play at the US Open and remained there throughout the tournament, giving birth to their first child, daughter Sam Alexis, less than twelve hours after the US Open ended.
He offered that the reason for Elin Woods' hospital stay was not life threatening, but was necessary.
The couple named their daughter Sam ... which is the name Tiger's father called him from the time he was a small boy.
He said among baby gifts was a minature ping pong table from Phil and Amy Mickelson. He has already put a small golf club in his daughter's hand.
