Mighty Threesome Fail to Impress

The crowds at the Deutsche Bank Championship cared only about one threesome: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh.

They have played together only one other time which was two years ago at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf. But the awesome threesome failed to capitalize. As Woods said at the press conference, "I think we all felt like we left some shots out there."

Singh four-putted on the first hole. Woods had a triple bogey. Mickelson finished the day in 43rd place.

Who did play well?? Camilo Villegas. He finished the day two strokes in the lead. He had a 63, the best score of his career. Villegas has never won a PGA event; however, he has finished in the top three seven times. The 25 year old Columbian played golf for the Florida Gators and turned pro in 2004. Mike Weir and Ryan Moore are tied for second with a 65.
