Twitter California Fire Forces Evacuation of Mickelson & Simpson
Hundreds of thousands of California residents are fleeing "The Beast" .. the ravaging fires fed by hurricane-like winds. Among those evacuating are Phil Mickelson and Scott Simpson.
Mickelson, his wife, Amy, and three children live in the rural community of Rancho Santa Fe, about 30 miles north of San Diego and 15 miles northeast of La Jolla. Last year, Forbes magazine ranked Rancho Santa Fe as the second most expensive zip code in the United States.Tom Pernice, Jr., who lives in Temecula told Golf World that his home was not in danger of burning, but Mickelson's home is.
Simpson went to his brother's home in Los Angeles. Although he hasn't returned home yet, his home, thankfully, has been spared.
