FedEx Cup concludes with exciting Tour Championship

The PGA Tour's annual Tour Championship returned to East Lake in Atlanta, Georgia. As usual, Tiger Woods was not in the field despite being eligible. Of course, this time, Tiger didn't have a choice as to whether he would play or once again shun the TOUR's event.

Nonetheless, the season ended with an exciting playoff between two young, international superstars: Camilo Villegas (pictured left) and Sergio Garcia. Both players finished at seven under after 72 holes, which placed the Colombian native in a playoff against the seasoned Garcia. However, in the end, the University of Florida graduate, Villegas, pulled through to claim his first Tour Championship title.

Villegas climbed the leaderboard after finishing with a stellar 4 under par Sunday round, giving him a great deal of momentum as Garcia limped off his first 18 holes with a 1 over par score.

Anthony Kim and Phil Mickelson finished in a tie for third place at 6 under par.

Though Vijay Singh struggled throughout the week and ultimately finished 22nd in a field of 30 players, Singh still managed to capture the FedEx Cup for 2008.
