Buick Talks with Woods about Contract Renewal

I've read recent articles that Tiger Woods' Buick contract expires in 2009 and the two sides have begun preliminary negotiations. A GM spokesperson has said that they are interested in Woods remaining.

It is rumored that Woods' 5 year current contract is worth $40 million.
Given that Buick sales were down 21.4% thru the end of September and GM stock has dropped more than 74% this year, do you, reader, think keeping Tiger Woods is a good investment of shareholders' money?

GM shares are at their lowest point since 1950. The largest US-based automaker posted a $15.5 billion net loss in the second quarter.
Bottom line: Does Tiger Woods really sell cars???
