However, the project was approved without landslide hazard mapping and under regulations that did not require site specific stability studies. Once the private roads in the subdivision have been built and considered stable, the owners' responsiblity will be met, the Property Owners Association will share the costs of road if they fall victim to erosion and slope failure.
