Missing Long John? Daly fails to qualify for US Open

John Daly will be back on the PGA Tour for the first time since his suspension when he competes at the St. Jude Classic in Tennessee. Daly, of course, is playing on a sponsor's exemption, as he tries, once again, to attain a TOUR card.

However, Daly tried his luck this past weekend at U.S. Open qualifying. Sadly for fans of Long John, Daly will not tee it up at Bethpage Black. Though Daly did not come close to qualifying after a 36 hole score of 1 over par, he did manage to attract a gallery of more than 300 people, according to the Golf Channel.

At the very least, Daly's return to the PGA Tour should be interesting. Don't expect too much damage from the two-time major champion, this week, unless he manages to get his putter under control.
