Ames To Miss Chrysler, Possibly Done For Season

Stephen Ames, who won The Players Championship earlier this year, will likely be finished for the season due to back problems. ESPN reports that Ames missed a PGA Tour meeting where he was scheduled to speak while undergoing testing in his current hometown of Calgary. Ames will certainly miss the Chrysler this week, but his playing in the WGC World Cup in Barbados is unclear. Ames usually represents Trinidad and Tobago in the World Cup alongside his brother who usually is on the bag. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but if not terribly severe, Ames will likely represent his victory at TPC by playing the Mercedes Championship.
