Chrysler Championship:Choi Runs to 4 Stroke Win

Korean golfer K.J. Choi found his first win in Tampa by winning the Chrysler Championship.Choi started the day with an eagle and never let up, having two bogeys in his four under finish. Choi's final round was good enough to hold a nice lead over last year's winner Brett Wetterich who fired a 66 to move into second place. Paul Goydos, needing a big finish, remained in second shooting a one under 70 to move to 9 under. Johnathan Byrd also put together a big finish shooting 68, good enough for a third place finish. Ernie Els broke down on Sunday for the second time this year, shooting a one over 72 to take third place. Els was unable to get the round going, but showed some progress in comparison to his last tournament when he was in contention, the Bridgestone Classic. Unlike at Firestone, Els did not competely blow up and gave himself a good finish in third place. Other great Sunday performances include Paul Azinger's 67 moving from 53rd to 31st when he needed a fine finish. Choi's victory will guarantee another two years on TOUR as well as give Choi his first top 5 finish of the year, coming in with three top 10s during the 2006 season.
