John Daly, a two time past major championsip winner, will likely lose his tour card and playing priveleges for the 2007 season. The Golf Blog reports that Daly will have to earn his card throught a maximum of seven sponsors exemption before either earning more exemptions or playing his way back to the PGA through the Nationwide Tour or Q-school. Daly has always been a fan favorite, reflected by several multi-million dollar endorsements deals with companies ranging from 84 LUMBER to Maxfli. The loss of playing priveleges will not help Daly get out of millions of dollars in gambling debt, may public by Daly in his book published this year. Daly has always been a likeable character having faced much adversity, inlcludng an ongoing alcohol problem as well as several bad marriages, yet, in adversity, coming through to be among the best.
