Next Up:The TOUR Championship

The TOUR Championship rolls into East Lake in Atlanta, Georgia for the season finale. Last year's champion Bart Bryant will not be in the field this season having not met th requirement of finishing in the top 30 for the official money list. This year wll have the smallest field in the event's history with only 27 competitors. The three drops wer by Tiger Woods (fatigue), Phil Mickelson (fatigue), and Stephen Ames (back). Without two of the big guns playing this week, some new talent will likely take the championship. East Lake, home course of golf great and Augusta National founder Bobby Jones, will play at over 7,100 yards. The event's purse will pay $6.5 million with $1.17 million going to the winner. The first two days will be broadcasted on ESPN and the finishing two days on ABC. The names that will be at the top of the leaderboard should include Jim Furyk as well as young Englishmen Luke Donald. Ben Curtis may also look for his third win of the season to continue his great play.
