John Senden Wins The Australian Open

John Senden had an outstanding day; winning the MFS Australian Open at Royal Sydney and setting a course record. His day included 8 birdies. The 35 year old earned the Stonehaven Cup. He was the John Deere Classic winner in the USA this year. Senden said in post-event interviews that his goal now is to focus on major events and being one of the top 50 players in the world.

US Open Champion, Geoff Ogilvy, finished the day one stroke behind, despite the fact that he share the lead for much of the day. At one point in today's final round, 6 players were at the top of the leaderboard.

Stuard Appleby and Gavin Coles tied for third. The round three leader, Nathan Green, tied for fifth with the #4 player in the world, Adam Scott.
