Comedian George Lopez to host Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

Comedian George Lopez , known best for his latin humor and ABC Sitcom, has been chosen to host this year's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

15 years ago, he was an opening act for Bob Hope. Hope passed away in 2003 at the age of 100.

Lopez relishes the idea that Hope was a fan of his comedy. He said, "It would be like the Pope sent you a letter and said, 'You're a good Catholic. Signed, The Pope.'"
While Bob Hope will not be the star this year, Lopez has numerous Hollywood buddies lined up to play with the pros. Stars such as Burt Reynolds will hit the links among several big name tour stars.
The focus this week will surely be on reigning Masters champion, Phil Mickelson. Teeing it up for the first time since early last Fall, Phil will look to regain his momentum going into the Majors.
