Lefty to start designing courses

The world's number four player, Phil Mickelson, will begin to design signature golf courses. Following in the footsteps of Tiger, Phil will look to integrate his view of great golf courses into several resorts.

Unlike Tiger, who announced he would begin designing courses late last year, Phil will begin in the U.S. by designing a course in North Carolina.

ESPN reports Phil will design around 10 courses, starting with his first development at RiverRock.
Possible signature qualities of a Phil Mickelson course:
5. Few dangers down the left side of the fairway to aid the lefties on Mickelson's course
4. Tournaments for those who have never won a big event before. Phil has a soft spot for those who are the best to have never accomplished something.
3. Free drops into the fairway if a player drives a ball into a garbage can.
2. At least half of the greens should be surrounded by mounds for players to hit wedge shots backwards over their heads. The course assumes no liability for damages in the process.
1. 17th and 18th greens should be in the shape of a bowl to balance out the psychological stress endured during difficult rounds.
