Stuart Appleby takes control at AT&T

Stuart Appleby made five birdies and three bogeys to finish the third round at the AT & T National with a round of 68. He is currently in the lead.

Korean golfer K.J. Choi is only two strokes behind the leader.

However, Tiger Woods is still falling at seven strokes back. It seems unlikely that he will win his inaugural PGA Tour event, which he has played host to. Of course, his biggest come-from-behind win on the final round was in 2000 at Pebble Beach when he trailed by five strokes.

Kevin Stadler, who was Tiger Woods' playing partner in the third round, had a hole-in-one on the par 3, 13th hole using a 6 iron to cover 196 yards. Stadler is the son of former golfing great, Craig Stadler. The younger Stadler finished the day tied with Woods at 2 under for the tournament and 7 strokes off of the lead. He admitted that he had never played before with the crowds that follow Tiger and said it was probably ten times bigger than he has ever seen.
