Watson takes lead in U.S. Senior Open
Tom Watson shot a 6-under 66 during the second round of the 28th Senior US Open at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin which put him 8 under for the tournament and sitting alone at the top of the leaderboard. He had a three stroke advantage over five players tied for second.
Bob Ford, head professional at Oakmont Country Club, had a hole in one on the third hole. It was only the 17th hole-in-one in the history of the Senior US Open. Ford had a great second round with a 71. However, his first round was a dismal 83. He did not make the cut.
