Twitter Watson Undergoes Hip Replacement
It doesn't seem like that long ago that Tom Watson was one of the leading golfers in the world. He won eight major championships. He led the PGA Tour money list five times. From 1978 to 1982, McCormack's World Golf Rankings ranked him #1. In 1983 and 1984, he was ranked #2, right behind another wounded golfer, Seve Ballesteros.
It's being reported today though that Tom Watson is recovering from hip replacement surgery. The surgery was October 2nd at St. John's Health Center.
He plans to return for the Senior Skins Game in January.
