The Masters field adds 15 more players

It's never too early to begin coverage of the 2009 Masters. Aside from the event inevitably making headlines as the return of Tiger Woods to major championship golf, it will also be the first test of newly crowned major championship goliath Padraig Harrington against the world's best.

Surely, Masters fanatics are aware that the top 50 players, as measured by the World Rankings, are invited to Augusta National for the tournament the following year. As 2008 comes to a close, the final rankings for the season have been published, and fifteen previously unqualified players will be invited to attend.

These golfers are: Justin Rose, Martin Kaymer, Ross Fisher, Luke Donald, Shingo Kayatama, Graeme McDowell, Rory Sabbatini, Jeev Milkha Singh, Aaron Baddeley, Rory McIllroy, Oliver Wilson, Richard Sterene, Lin Wen-Tang, and Soren Kjeldsen.
