Darren Clarke Enters Madrid Masters

Darren Clarke, a Ryder Cup captain's pick hopeful, has entered his name for the Madrid Masters tournament on the European Tour. ESPN reports that Darren will play either way if he is or is not chosen on Sunday by Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam. Clarke hopes to have a competitive week prior to the Ryder Cup, or at least preparation for the next WGC Amex. Clarke's wife died on August 13th of this year as Clarke started a break after the British Open.
