Next Up:Chrysler Championship

The TOUR's full field finale commences this week in Palm Harbor, Florida at the Chrysler Championship. The event, as the final full field event of the season, will feature some of the best going at it to earn spots in the season ending Tour Championship next week for the top thirty players on the money list as well as some well known players looking to keep TOUR cards. The Chrysler Championship will have a $5.3 million with $954,000 going to the winner. Surpisingly, South African and former top three ranked golfer Ernie Els is outside of the top thirty and needs to play strong this week to gain entry in the Tour Championship. Els, who injured his knee and underwent surgery last season, has slowly descended from the top ranks in professional golf and has not won since his injury. Els has struggled, especially when in contention, to find victory. The Big Easy will be the player to watch this week as he tries to emerge to his former glory and start next season on the right foot by ending the 2006 season strong.
